Fix You...Fix Me
|
|
Fix You
When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
when you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I
Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
A couple of entries ago, i gave a tribute to my 'on the road' companion. Last week, without any warning she failed
on me. Fortunate enough i was in familiar teritory.
Unfortunate for me, the problem was not a minor one, where you just go to your favourite 'pomen' with your car
and be off and running in max 2 hours. Nope.
She was steaming white smoke from the engine. It's not overheated. But, there was a leaking. A dangerous crack.
The repairs would be extensive. The engine would have to be redo, re-tuned,certain components and parts must be
replaced thus the cost would be enourmous that even the mechanics dare not put a price yet.
As you could imagine, sleeping is a problem for me at the moment.Huhuhu....
But, in these moments of despair, there would always be confort when people and friends are there to help in this
time of need.
Therefore i can still smile. And keep a clear head.

Isn't It Wonderful Being A Cat?
|
 |
|
Syioknyer Dia Tido Haa...
|
|
 |
|
Oo..mak ko. Terkejut aku!
|
|
|
Sometimes when the going gets too tough, and i turn and look at a cat sleeping under a car, or sleeping under a tree, i would say to myself...
'syioknyer ko ni kucing. tidur ikut suka ko jer'.
Sometimes, i feel that cats are the least stressful animal. They're not extinct, at least in Malaysia, they're not hunted down for their meat, or their skin. Their not scorn or feared like snakes or dogs. They can roam anyway and people would just ignore them or if they are cute enough than, some will stop to pad their head. Its like...ur untouchable(kiranya cam garfield la). Free meals(dustbins, kedai makan, rumah, etc..), the males...well lets just say that they'll make kids left and right...
Maybe that's why cats are not extinct.
So, in some ways...yeah..its kinda kewl being a cat, right?
10 years ago, we had dozens of cats in our house(and out of the house). Satu mak kucing, kalau beranak 6 ekor sekali, pastu beranak 2 kali dalam setahun. Do the maths. You'll have an army of kittens running around. Sure, some may die under a car tyre, disease, dogs or even eaten by snakes(we had an incident where a very pregenant mak kucing was eaten by the snake), but still you'll have dozens and dozens of cats!
This particular cat calls a resort his home. In a resort in Tg Bungah(Seri Intan Tg Bungah, Pulau Pinang), he would be in the lobby of the resort, and he will follow you to your rooms, unexpectedly.
And since, he is kinda cute(big and fluffy), people tend to let him stay in their rooms.(he is also kinda persuasive).
This picture was taken when he jumps on to the bed for a nap. Kurang hajaq punyer kucing...

An Old Lady With A Story Of Her Own
|
|
"Lama dah ko tak balik?"
"Minggu lepas kan dah balik.."
"Hmmm...ko nak ke mana ni?"
"Nak balik umah la nek.."
"Ko tak duduk sini ke? Mana rumah ko?"
"Kan dah pindah Penang.."
"Ishh...jauhnya ko duduk. Aku masa muda dulu puas la berjalan masa atuk ko keje dulu"........
Presenting a normal conversation with my only living grandmother. She's almost 86 if im not mistaken, so she tends to
forget. We would have these types of conversations many times.. In her prime time, its true she used to travel alot with my grandfather as his work does needs him to travel to
other states. One of her favourite stories would be being a 'pengapit hakim' during those colonial years.
Since her husband died few years back, she only have her childrens as company and her 'favourite cicit's to keep her company.Brought 4 children to the world(that i know of) and is now a proud owner of at least 6 cicits.
The only place she wants to visit nowdays would be Kajang, where his only living younger brother lives.
Since this is Merdeka Month, just thought it seems proper to post a tribute to her. Although she may not be someone
who was important to the independence of the country, but she had gone thru the whole Independence of the country,
and at least to me...is something to be proud of.
After all, she is family.

Monkeys Live Together

Semua Tentang Kita
Waktu terasa semakin berlalu
Tinggalkan cerita tentang kita
Akan tiada lagi kini tawamu
Tuk hapuskan semua sepi di hati
Teringat di saat kita tertawa bersama
Ceritakan semua tentang kita
Ada cerita tentang aku dan dia
Dan kita bersama saat dulu kala
Ada cerita cerita tentang masa yang indah
Saat kita berduka saat kita tertawa
A Brief History Of Monkeys Of Taiping- as told by Otai Taiping
The monkeys of Taiping are divided into two groups with their own families(kira cam Mafia la ni). They have their own leaders that they would regard like their Godfather. The first family resides in the jungle of Maxwell HIl and roam across the jungles.
The second family locates themselves in the areas around the lake garden. It is suspected that they do have contacts with other monkeys and their species in the Zoo Taiping, although this could not be proven as they all look alike.
But, if another monkeys from another family crosses the territory of the other family, then it is war.
Then, there are also other smaller families which stay hidden, like one family...the Ungka's(monyet muka putih). They can be found in the jungles of Maxwell Hill and also near the lake. Now, this Ungka's are a shy lot. You can see them, very high up in the trees.
But the two families, they do not shy away from humans. They need food, or they are always hungry.
Nampak sangat aku lonely kan..hehehe

Let Her Cry
|
 |
|
Let Her Cry
|
|
 |
|
If The Tears Fall Down Like Rain
|
|
 |
|
Let Her Go
|
|
|
She sits alone by the lamppost
Trying to find a thought that's escaped her mind
She says "Dad's the one I love the most
But Stipe's not far behind,"
She never lets me in
Only tells me where she's been
When she's had too much to drink
I say that I don't care
I just run my hand through her dark hair
Then I pray to God
"You gotta help me fly away."
And just
Let her cry
If the tears fall down like rain
Let her sing
If it eases all her pain
Let her go
Let her walk right out on me
And if the sun comes up tomorrow
Let her be
Let her be
This morning I woke up alone
Found a note standing by the phone
Saying "Maybe, maybe I'll be back someday"
I wanted to look for you
You walked in, I didn't know just what I should do
So I sat back down and had a beer
and felt sorry for myself saying
Last night I tried to leave
Cried so much I could not believe
She was the same girl I fell in love with long ago
She went in the back to get high
I sat down on my couch and cried, yelling
"Oh, mama, please help me!"
Won't you hold my hand
aku saje bosan, tak tau nak kenakan lagu ni dgn gambar apa. nasib baik la ada kawan-kawan ni yg sudi posing walaupun depa malu-malu sikit bila aku dekat-dekat dengan diorang.

Aku Bukan Mat Bunga
|
|
Location: Hentian Ipoh V Point
View: Bandar Ipoh & Puncak Korbu
Time: 13:00(panas terik)
Travelling back from Kay Ell to the nothern side of West Malaysia. Took it easy, drive like i had all the time in the world.
I had always wanted to stop at one of these places where the R&R is on top of a hill or somthing higher than normal grounds.
This particular R&R is situated right after Jelapang heading towards north. Just before the tunnel. If you're looking for a place to 'relief yourself', than your got no luck. No toilet here, sorry.
From the R&R view point, you can see Ipoh and if the sky is clear, Korbu and Gayung.
Miss those times when I was looking at this particular part of this highway from up there.
Here we stand
Like an Adam and an Eve
Waterfalls
The Garden of Eden
Two fools in love
So beautiful and strong
The birds in the trees
Are smiling upon them
From the age of the dinosaurs
Cars have run on gasoline
Where, where have they gone?
Now, it's nothing but flowers
Nothing But Flowers

Of Fountains And Gardens At Night
|
|
Di malam hari, aku tersengguk-sengguk jalan dalam gelap kat lake garden. Tiba-tiba terdengar suara-suara di dalam kegelapan malam. Risau dah aku...monyet kah? Beruk kah?Atau...err. Takut dah aku. Pokok dah la beso-beso kat sini. Siang memang lawa-lawa, tapi malam-malam...jadi scary doss..
Bulan penuh lak malam tu..
Tapi, setelah mata aku membiasakan diri dengan kegelapan, baru la aku nampak apa yg tadi aku tak nampak...Mangai...Ramainya bersengkerama kat sini. Ingatkan nak ambik gambo, tapi tak jadi la.Nanti kena pukul lak aku.
Heh..

True to the topic, aku tetiba jer terasa nak selsema pagi nie. Tapi pasal aku dah separuh jalan nak upload gambar-gambar ni, aku teruskan la jugak...
Pictures Taken Around The Lake(Where Else Aku Nak Gi)
Its been almost one month (plus) since I've been here(on and off). And, aku tau banyak lagi tempat yang boleh aku jenjalan kat sini. Tapi, kekadang tu i was just too tired and too lazy...
Takpe lorr..i have another one and a half months to roam around Taiping(day and night).
Just to share, last wednesday aku terasa nak gi jogging kat Tasek ni, jogging 10 minit dah terasa panchit nyer(thanx to long absence of physical fitness training). I ended up walking around the Tasek. And in one particular place, ada banyak gila beruk and they were all around some kind of bridge. Aku jalan la kat jambatan tu, yg beruk kecik-kecik ni lari la. But there was one beruk, which has a red bottom(macam baboon) and was bigger than the others, fiercer looking than the others stood between me and the other side of the bridge. And i ended up, turning back, cause this big, red bottomed monkey was coming towards me.
What the hell is this monkey called? Asked around after that. True to their appearence. Beruk yg besar ni memang tak takut manusia and boleh jadi ganas kalau kita kacau dia.
Watched from the window with a red mosquito...
I was not allowed to leave the room...
I saw the sun go down, and now it's comin' up...
Somewhere in the time between...
I was bitten...must have been the devil...
He was just payin' me...
A little visit, a-reminding me of his presence...
Lettin' me know...he's a-waitin' for me...
Red man's your neighbor, call it behavior...
While you're climbing up slippery hills...
Two steps ahead of him, punctures in your neck...
Hoverin' just above your bed... (2x)
I was bitten...must have been the devil...
He was just paying me...
A little visit, reminding me of his presence...
And lettin' me know...he's a-waitin'...he's a-waitin'...
Up there...yeah...
If I had known then what I now know

This is a tribute to all our cars out there.
The rear wheel drives, the mid engine, the 4WD, the pick-ups, the sedans, the K-Class Cars, the sports cars and not forgetting..the classics.
You know what people say about boys and their cars..
but without cars, think you can get anywhere?
Mine..well, we've been spending time a lot these past months. And im proud to say thats she still alive, excluding minor(i hope) wear and tear, here and there.
I took a drive today
Time to emancipate
I guess it was the beatings made me wise
But i'm not about to give thanks, or apologize
I couldn't breathe, holdin' me down
Hand on my face, pushed to the ground
Enmity gauged, united by fear
Forced to endure what i could not forgive...
I seem to look away
Wounds in the mirror waved
It wasn't my surface most defiled
Head at your feet, fool to your crown
Fist on my plate, swallowed it down
Enmity gauged, united by fear
Tried to endure what i could not forgive
saw things
saw things
saw things
saw things
clearer
clearer
once you, were in my...
rearview mirror...

Sepetang Di Taman Tasik...
|
|
Seminggu ni, hujan tak turun di Taiping. Pelik kot.
Selalunya Taiping ni tak pernah lari dari satu hari yang tidak hujan.
So, took the opportunity to have a stroll in the park.
Anyway, i needed the walk.
